Jay started his shift by taking time to shake my hand and introduce himself. During bedside report, he asked the off going nurse numerous questions about my care so that he would do everything correctly. He apologized every time he had to perform my dressing changes and repack my wound.

He is a very genuine person and you can tell he cares deeply for his patients and loves his job. He took time to explain to me the best ways to keep my pain under control. When I was upset, he had an ear to listen and made me feel like I was at home. He checked in on me every hour to make sure I was ok and asked if I needed anything. He always responded to my calls promptly. He goes above and beyond his call of duty.
