Recently on 5 Heart, we had a patient on airborne precautions for TB. The patient was on our floor for several weeks and had been unable to visit her beautician for many months. This nurse kindly stepped in to help this patient, even though she was not assigned to her for that day. Over the course of an hour, Jaurie selflessly worked to remove the patient's molded and matted braids, all while wearing her PPE, including the N95 mask, which can be quite hot and uncomfortable to wear.
Jaurie is always such a pleasure to work with when she is placed on our unit. We thank her for all the amazing care she delivers.
