I was exhausted after 3 days/nights, surgery and F/T IV antibiotics. Jason was introduced Friday evening (I learned later he often assists where needed) and was a calm, assuring presence. I've never had a nurse look up recommended pain levels: med doses, I didn't even know it existed! I was impressed at how he had data and then allowed me into the process to determine pain management. In the middle of the night, my IV needed to be moved, so other staff began a new IV site, which just did not work. My nurse suggested Jason's ultrasound IV. After working all evening and night, Jason arrived to an exhausted, emotional patient (me!) and began his calm, explanation/teaching-style, and caring approach. A code gray happened on another wing, and he said, "Excuse me, I'm going to go there, I'm able to help in those situations." He came right back, found a brachial vein in my upper arm, and inserted a new IV - no sweat! He restored my patience and courage. He made such a big difference! Thank you, Jason!
