Janelle has excellent skills and memory, you can easily go to her for help in performing a task or clarification on a procedure. She will always be your back up if you have a difficult IV. I think her motto is "I'll take care of it" and does as quickly as you can read the motto. She goes the extra mile putting patients at ease with her sense of humor, continuous rapport and attention to their needs.
We had a patient with medium length hair who was concerned about getting it to stay nice under her surgical cap, she knew she would not have hair for long after chemotherapy started. Janelle got elastics and French braided this lady's hair in two braids. It brought tears to a few eyes how grateful this lady was, and how this little item made a big impact. She is very supportive of her co-workers and set up a monthly birthday celebration outside the hospital, that has given many of us the opportunity to get to know each other better and have a relaxing evening. She also helped organize our weight challenge teams which again was very beneficial.
I appreciate being able to work with her, she works hard and seldom get ruffled which helps calm others.
