I wish to tell you how wonderful, kind, thoughtful, compassionate, and amazing this nurse is. I always teased her and told her she should have wings because she is definitely an angel. The truth is that I really wasn't kidding her because she was an angel for us.

Jamie's compassion for her patients and their families is unparalleled by anyone I have ever met. If there was a conversation going on in the room she always included my sister in the conversation, even though we had no idea if she could hear us. She was always gentle and would tell my sister what she was doing when working with her. The first thing she would do when she walked into the room is talk to my sister and would turn to us and ask if we had questions. She almost always knew the answers to our questions or would find out if she didn't. She explained things to us so that we could understand them. When we were upset she always knew what to say to comfort us and make us feel better. She even informed us when she went to lunch so we would know where she was. What an amazing person and nurse!

Jamie made our first 2 days in ICU a less painful experience and we knew without a doubt that our sister was getting the best care possible. This nurse is definitely an asset to your hospital and to the ICU. She goes above and beyond with her patients and their families.
