I want to thank the Meridian ER for showing my family compassion and kindness on a night full of heartache and worry. My brother in law was admitted to the Meridian ICU for liver failure. He has been suffering from liver failure for many years and when my sister took her husband to the ER that day she thought he wouldn't make it through the night. Thankfully he is slowly recovering.
Also, on the night my brother in law was admitted to ICU his grandson came in emergently to the Meridian ER for severe burns after his clothes caught on fire while he was lighting a fire in the family's fire pit. My nephew was very upset because he thought he would never see his grandpa again. The doctor and the ER staff attempted to okay a visit to ICU for him with the SLC burn center. SLC said it wasn't a good idea for him to go to ICU, so the staff arranged to bring his grandpa down to the ER to see his grandson before he left for the Salt Lake City Burn Center. My brother in law was unresponsive, but not intubated. I don't know how the staff managed it, but they took him down to his grandson's ER room and his grandson was able to say goodbye before he left for SLC.
I cannot thank Meridian ER enough for showing such kindness and compassion to my family.
