Jackie was my nurse in the ER before I was admitted to the hospital, she was truly amazing, she was kind sweet and concerned about my health. She made me feel very comfortable as I was scared when they told me I would have to be admitted. She knew that I was in extreme pain and would not want to ask for pain medication. When they admitted me upstairs she made sure to let my nurse know that I would not ask for my medication every 2 hours like I am supposed to so she would have to encourage me to ask for it.
Overall Jackie was just a sweetheart all together when I found out that I was going to have to stay for a few days I got very upset and just wanted to get some fresh air so that's what we did. She went and got me a wheelchair and took me out in front of the ER and allowed me to take a few mins just to process everything. You can tell that nursing is Jackie's passion and it is a perfect job for her, it was a pleasure being her patient.

Jackie arrived in POD to visit an 11-year old patient she has cared for the previous night. She stayed with the patient for over 2 hours, talking with her, playing games, braiding her hair, etc. The patient appeared to respond very positively and communicated freely with Jackie. This nurse was giving of her own time because she obviously cared.
