I was in the hospital in June for two weeks. Most of my stay was spent on stepdown CV both before and after surgery. I wanted to let you know that the care I received both before and after my heart surgery by both the doctors and nurses was exceptional. I want to let you know about a nurse that took care of me after surgery. All of the nurses I had were great, but there was one special nurse I wanted to bring to your attention. Her name is Jackie Hazelwonder.

I thank God that Jackie was my nurse for the first few days after my surgery. She is an outstanding caregiver: she is kind, considerate, compassionate, and caring. I never had to ask her why different procedures or medications were being given to me; she explained it all beforehand and assured me that I was doing fine. Jackie was there any time I needed her to assist in getting me comfortable for for my pain, to help me with anything I needed. All of the nurses that took care of me were great, but Jackie was exceptional at her job. In my opinion, for whatever it'w worth, she is head and shoulders above the rest and deserves special recognition for her outstanding skills.
