Ira is an RN2 working primarily with pediatric cancer patients, responsible for recovery and management of their care while they are in RadOnc. She has a very kind and comforting way about her that fits well with these patients. Ira is compassionate, dedicated, continuously interested in improving and gets along with both the staff and her patients. Her concern for her young patients is very obvious. On one occasion, when a child needed to be treated on a Sunday, Ira was willing to rearrange her day and come in within the hour to care for this patient. When a patient complained that the recovery room was too full of people, Ira moved the whole process, including supplies, into a spare holding room and developed a new system for patient flow. Now patients check in at the old recovery room and then move to the new room where it is quieter. Ira is always willing to help in the clinic and serves as a liaison between the ARNP and the Pediatric Attending. No matter what happens, she just keeps smiling and working. Ira is someone you can count on
