Inger has developed the PICC Insertion Team, trained most of the team members (both technologists and RN's), has ensured that the PICC team is following standards of care according to the Infusion Nurse Society, IUH policy and evidence based nursing practice. Inger is detail oriented and makes sure all staff is compliant with standards of care. She consistently watches out for the whole PICC team. Inger does this with compassion, understanding, patience and the love of her patients. She is always a wonderful role model for those who work with her.

Inger maintains her professionalism, positive attitude, team playing attitude and patience at all times. During the nursing changes that we are all currently experiencing, her role has changed to take on more responsibility outside of her normal area of work. She has graciously taken on the new responsibilities with a positive attitude and a smile. While there is much grumbling about "doing more", Inger never fails to step up to the challenge and help anyone who needs it.

On a personal note, I work in a different area of nursing (Imaging) and have recently had to give up a second nurse position. Inger takes it upon herself to check in with me and see if I need any help. She never fails to check with me about what my schedule is like for the day, offers to hold the back-up phone for me and generally makes herself available.

The care she gives to her patients is professional, caring, and always the best of nursing practice. She shows patience, understanding and takes the time to let her patients know that they are her focus.

Working with her is always a comfort, because I know she would never compromise the safety of a patient or staff member, she carries out the job without complaint, and completes the job rather than doing only the necessary care.
