In March 2016 I was sent to the hospital for an emergent Salpingectomy. My family wasn't with me, so I employed a nursing assistant to take care of myself. At the late night, a tall and thin nurse named Hongfang Yu on night shift told me it was the time for me to eat something like porridge but it was too late to get the food. My nursing assistant was not able to buy anything for me.
When Hongfang Yu learned that I could not get anything to eat, she generously gave her porridge to me without hesitation. I wanted to pay her back, but she refused. I instructed my nursing assistant to give her a bottle of milk that night and buy her some porridge the next morning. To my surprise, I saw a bowl of porridge and a paper note on my bedside table when I woke up in the morning.
The note said: "Thank you, I've already got a bottle of milk from you and this bowl of porridge is good for your health. I think you're a person with stories and I recommend you a WeChat official account named "Do our best to live" which publishes articles with life philosophies. This may be of some help to you. I'm also following this account." It indeed touched me greatly I even remember now. I felt so grateful for what Hongfang Yu did for me and shared with me.
