Holly is extraordinary as a nurse and as a coworker. She has such a passion for doing things "right." The first thing you notice about Holly when working with her is her dedication to patient care. She ALWAYS puts the patient first. But in that ability to put the patient first, she also manages to put the ED staff first as well. Her level of professionalism is matched only by her level of compassion and passion for doing the job right, and she extends those sentiments to everyone in the ED.

Her respect is not only shown to the physicians and mid-level practitioners, but also to the Patient Access Staff, the kitchen staff, and the housekeeping staff. Besides showing respect, she shows kindness, courtesy, comradery and patience.

You would think that this would be enough to give Holly accolades, but no. Ask Holly if she can pick up a shift because the ED is short a nurse, she will help out. Ask Holly to take on the task of being the Disaster Preparedness Coordinator, she will do it. She will take it very seriously, and yet, she will do it with a smile on her face.

In the ED, everyone is Holly's friend, make that her family, and she treats all as such. She is as pleasant as the day is long, even when she works long days. Holly deserves to win the DAISY Award, because despite all the hours and hard work she puts in, she is still fresh as a daisy. She is truly an asset to Angel Medical Center, to the ED, and to the community. Thank you, Holly, for being you!

Holly always puts the needs of the patients first. She also is very active with projects and always looking for ways to better the experiences and outcomes for patients and family members. She is very compassionate, not only for patients but for her co-workers as well. When she works, you know it is going to be a great shift, because she is so positive.

Holly is extraordinary with all of her patients. She provides the most compassionate care I've seen. She pays attention to the slightest details, from walking arm in arm with her patients to and from their room, to personally wishing them well at the door as they are discharged. It is apparent to all how much she truly cares for her patients, and it is greatly commendable.
