My father was in the ICU on a ventilator for 2 weeks. Holly was his nurse early in the first week. She was so kind and always talked to my dad and called him by name whenever she was working with him. She always asked us whether we had concerns and always gave us information on the care she was giving my father. Later in the week, she was down the hall and was not our nurse any longer but she asked about my dad and when I started crying telling her that he wasn't getting better, she comforted me and was so sympathetic. Sadly, my father was not improving and on Wednesday of our 2nd week she ended up being our dad's nurse again. Once again, she was so kind and always was tender dealing with my dad and always talked with us about my dad and his care. When we decided to take him off the ventilator she sat down and explained everything to me. She was with us on the day that they took him off. She brought us food and water and continued to be so kind and empathetic during the entire procedure. She was an amazing nurse and I was so pleased that she was my dad's nurse when we had to make such hard decisions.
