Mr. Hill is so very respected in his service area and beyond. I am a therapist working in the Primary Care Clinic with Mr. Hill. When I came on board and inquired about safety concerns or problems de-escalating violent patients, I was told repeatedly that Mr. Hill was the best contact. I have seen him to be gifted in speaking with patients in a way that helps them feel heard and respected.

Mr. Hill has been taking care of me for many years. He is a strong and loving person. I would have him as my personal nurse at home.

Mr. Hill is extraordinary because of his hands-on availability, particularly in crisis situations. His take-charge but compassionate manner helps maintain patient control so they are reassured that staff hear their concerns and will be taken care of. It was something to see on one particular occasion when a cognitively impaired and potentially violent patient became loud and threatening to his mother and then actually began to attack Mr. Hill with his hands. Mr. Hill was not at all thrown by the situation and quickly set limits to maintain control and avoid the patient feeling more threatened. He then attended to the patient's family members who were shaken by the situation.

He goes above and beyond every single time. He doesn't complain and gives everyone full respect. One specific event that I can remember is when on his way out of PCC, there was a code and he turned back to the crash cart to assist, even though he was rushing to get home because he had to get to his flight out of town.

Mr. Hill is an absolute pleasure to work with. It is refreshing to work with someone who not only respects his position but the patients he serves. As an asset to our work site, oftentimes Mr. Hill is called upon to assess and assist a patient who is having an episode. His empathetic mannerism does wonders for not only our staff but also our clients. I appreciate his attentiveness with this sensitive job and even his care with me when I too fell ill. To say that he is great at his job does absolutely no justice. He is a phenomenal individual and should surely be recognized for his continued efforts.

I would like to say this nurse took the time out one day to service me with special attention. I suffer from bipolar disorder and this day I was manic and disorderly. He and another nurse took me to the emergency room with care and concern for my well-being.

Mr. Hill is a force. He manages areas new to nursing in BH primary care, clinics, adult OPD, WIC. Standards of Work are not always clear in new areas, but he doesn't mind and he works with his staff and the interdisciplinary teams to improve our care and operations every day. He is well known to the community around the hospital and advocates for our patients to the community. He is known for spending hours with a patient and family that is struggling—living the ICARE philosophy of doing what needs to get done right then and there to ensure our patients are cared for and pleased with the outcome. We all rely on Mr. Hill and it appears that he takes this in stride. No matter how heavy the burden this star will cross the finish line—bringing others along.

You are simply the best—just the very best!!! Caring, concerned, fair, considerate. OMG!
