I was in the 6K Specialty Surgery Unit of Tampa General Hospital fighting sepsis, bacterial infections, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). I was given excellent care by all the nurses; however, one person really left a lasting impression on me. Henry Tapper, RN, was always there for me, no matter what I needed. He was so sincere and caring and always had a smile on his face despite how busy he was elsewhere. He operated with such professionalism and superior skills and is such a great role model for others around him.

My husband has Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). During his stay at TGH, there were great nurses who cared for him, however, one stood out above the rest. Henry Tapper, RN, treated my husband as if he was his own father. He was so compassionate and responsive to is every need and performed with extraordinary skill and competence. It was such a joy to know that my husband was being cared for by a nurse with such true respect for his patients and their families. He performed every task with a smile on his face and attention to detail. He is such an outstanding role model for others who work with and beside him.
