Heather McManus, RN from Labor and Delivery showed outstanding compassion, generosity, and above and beyond support during my labor. I had to be induced five days after my due date. I came in at 8am very nervous not knowing what to expect as it was my first child. I was told by the OB that I was at risk of having a C-section which scared me. Heather was my nurse and from the very beginning walked me through everything that was happening and was supportive during all my painful contractions. She continuously came in to check on me and helped position me in different ways to make me more comfortable. Everything I asked of her was done within minutes and she was genuinely concerned about my wellbeing and level of comfort. The closer my contractions got the more nervous I was and Heather was there to reassure me that everything was okay. She even stayed after her shift ended to check on me to see how my epidural went and if I needed anything. I was so amazed by the nursing care that she provided and truly trusted her that I did not want her to leave. Although my next nurse was nice and assisted me with the delivery of my son, nothing compared to the care that I received by my nurse Heather. I'm so grateful she was my nurse as I don't think I would have made it through my labor without her. Heather is the most amazing nurse I have ever encountered, and I will be forever thankful for her.
