Family member writes, “My mother had a stroke 3 weeks ago before being hospitalized. She is ambulatory, but very slow moving and seeing her getting worse. As soon as we brought mother to the hospital Hannah Jones was her nurse. Hannah was consistently caring, considerate, and understanding of what we were going thru. Even when my mother was not assigned to her, Hannah always offered assistance when needed. My mother was uplifted by being around Hannah even if she was frightened because Hannah gently talked to her about her symptoms and just went beyond her duties as a nurse. Please realize what a great nurse you got on your staff. My mother has an older small dog and Hannah made arrangements for us to bring “Suzie” in to see mom. It made all the difference.” Hannah’s clinical manager shared that Hannah has worked with the hospital for several years as a PRN nurse, but recently came on full-time. Hannah recently received a MSN. Hannah is always calm and instrumental in promoting calm environment. She looks for ways to help others become instrumental in improving patient care. Hannah presents projects to promote best practices and on our unit Hannah started a unit nursing council.
