I am a mother of three and haverecently come upon some difficult times as far as anxiety and depression which is common among women my age. This lead to issues which impacted my health and brought me to St. Joseph's. Uponarrival,I was in poor mental and physical health and had just arrived in Tampa from out of state, without family or friends.
At my worst, I began having panic attacks and feelings of lonesomeness and helplessness. Gretchen took the time to calm me down and talk me through it. I am not much of a hugging type, but her wonderful nursing and caring instincts jumped in and she gave me the warmest hug that I needed. She explained the plan of action and I was able to regain my calmness within a few minutes, which is normally not the case for me without instant medication. She worked tirelessly for three or four days while I was admitted, without complaints, and even stopped to take the time to assist in training other nurses on procedures. Not only does this show her pure professionalism to the Nursing industry and the care she has for others, but also her dedication to St. Joseph's. I would request and recommend her at any point in the future. Thank you for allowing her to be a part of my recovery.Gretchen is truly an amazing nurse and I feel blessed to have had her for my time at St. Joseph's.
