My husband had his right knee replaced and six weeks later, had his left knee replaced. Then his heart began to act up - low, low blood pressure and rapid heart rate. I was called about 10:00 p.m. to come to the hospital. He was being moved from 9th floor up to 10th where he could receive more individualized care. I was scared and so was my husband. When I got to his room, I met his nurse, Greg Gunwall, who seated me right next to my husband's bed; he kept me informed as to what the monitor was recording; what the treatment was; what results were expected, etc. Nurse Gunwall kept in close contact with the doctor. I felt so relieved to see such kind, professional, experienced care. My husband was moved to 6th floor (cardiac) where eventually his heart was under control again. Now a year later, with medication, he is doing well.

I could meet Greg Gunwall on the street and not recognize him but on that night in March he was my hero.
