After a bad experience in the ER, Gary came along and saw the patient who at the time was in labor. He offered a wheel chair first and asked her if she was in labor and how many weeks (etc). Gary took time to help and directed them where to go.

...

Gary was observed during making patient rounds with an encounter with a regular homeless patient. This patient was trying to act out; however Gary took a seat onto his bed and had a drink of apple juice. This brought a million dollar smile to the patient's face. Then Gary proceeded on his round. Gary went into a demented patient's room to give him an update on his treatment. As Gary was making his exit from the demented patient's room, he was approached by some family of another patient. The family was concerned about the quality of care. Therefore, Gary immediately started catering to their needs and the family was impressed; however throughout Gary busy day he never lost focus of caring for "his" staff and poor me. Gary kept checking on me while I was watching a demented patient.
