Gail is the type of nurse that I strive to be like. She is caring, compassionate, gentle, patient, and constantly reading new articles to further expand her knowledge. Gail takes extraordinary care of her patients. When busy, she often doesn't sit down or eat for 8 hours into the shift. The patients are always her priority. I look forward to the nights that I work with Gail and I always learn from her. Gail is one of the kindest and most genuine people I know. She is conscientious and pays attention to detail. When challenged with new technology Gail wants to make sure she does everything right. For example, when we got new cardiac monitors Gail came in on her own time to learn how to operate them. She often knows things about the computer and charting that other nurses do not because she has taken extra time to learn. Gail always wants to do her best and cares very much. Gail is very professional and dependable and always has a smile on her face. I cannot say enough good things about her. I would want Gail to take care of me and any of my family members if in the hospital.

Gail was my night nurse for a good part of my stay in the hospital. I was in tremendous abdominal pain and had IVs in my arm to receive medicine for nausea and pain as well as other things. I wasn't sleeping much and it was too soon for nausea meds. I also had a fever which made me uncomfortable. Since it was too soon for the meds, Gail remembered something she had learned when she first started nursing. She told me about it and I agreed. It felt so good and I went right to sleep! Her remedy was a towel in cold water, not too wet or too squeezed out, put across the top part of the chest about where the neck and chest meet. Sounds simple and I guess it is. There is a reason for the cold, the wet and the placement of the towel that reduces nausea. (She told me but I can't remember). I am thankful that she was one of my wonderful nurses to care for me. Gail is an extraordinary, compassionate RN who really thought outside of the box to relieve my discomfort. I admire her professionalism and dedication.

Gail is one of the nurses on the Acute Care floor on the night shift. Often night shift nurses are overlooked. Gail brings decades of experience to her nursing practice. She is a kind and conscientious nurse. If Gail is your nurse you can rest assured that you will receive the best possible care. She always places the needs of her patients above her own. She is proficient in multiple skills and is a valuable resource for the nursing staff. She is an advocate for her patients as well as her co-workers. I am honored to call her my friend.

Gail always goes above and beyond for every one of the acute care patients. Her heart is completely with her patients. She always puts the patient's needs and safety above all. I find myself saying to people that if my family or myself are ever a patient, I want Gail to be our nurse. She shows the utmost passion and love. Her exceptional professionalism and very devoted patient-centered care are so very comforting. My dream is to go to school and become an RN to follow in Gail's footsteps. I feel blessed to be exposed to her wonderful work ethic. The care that she provides for each and every patient is surely part of the healing process.
