There are many angels who live amongst us. Sometimes in plain sight, while others not so much, as they are busy helping those in need and creating blessings. Flora is one of those angels. Going into surgery is always a scary experience. Flora not only made me feel safe and comfortable, but she made my whole family feel the same way. There was a sense of passion, love, and patience that only comes from a lifetime of experience that shined through Flora, that should and must be, acknowledged. Knowing that nurses like Flora exist and work at PSJMC should not be taken for granted. With everyone always in such a rush and forgetting human connection, it was nice to be reminded of what true compassion feels like.
Thank you, Flora, for your hard work and love. Because of you, I felt less scared and ready for surgery. And thank you, PSJMC, for honoring Flora for her commitment to the medical field. I wish all experiences could be this way.
