All the complimentary adjectives apply to Fe Jularbal. Whenever I have a follow-up visit after my surgery, I am so happy when I see Fe. She asks, "How do you feel?" and listens to the answer and explores the nuances of my response. Sometimes this can take a while because I am a 76-year-old male who doesn't open easier than a rusty tin can. Then we move on to "I have your CT results and they are good". This is what I came for - another in a series of sighs of relief. Then we look at them together and in detail. She shows each detail mentioned by the Radiologist and expands upon its importance for me.
Last December, I was asked to fill out a two-page questionnaire. She approached my answers holistically and recommended that I might want to have a brain MRI to look into the reasons for memory loss, weakness, and dizziness. Then she said, "I see here that you have not had a Carotid Ultrasound recently. Would you like to have one today?'' I had forgotten to ask but Fe did not. Right now, right here in the Thoracic section, what could be more convenient? Of course, I said yes.
I am absolutely sure that I am Fe's favorite patient because that is exactly the feeling I get. I am willing to bet that many other patients feel the same way!
