Euphemia cared for our mom like she was her own mother. We felt she was extremely caring and compassionate. We were saddened when on GI doctor refused to treat her because of her age. Euphemia was instrumental in getting another GI doctor to take her case. Here are some of the things Euphemia did to go above and beyond for us:
After waiting all day for the new GI doctor to come, she called to find out if they were still coming. We felt her call prompted his visit.
We were concerned about how long it had been since her hip surgery and past time for her staples to be removed. Euphemia called Dr. C with our concerned and he ordered them to be removed right away.
Mom was getting an eye infection which she gets from time to time. Euphemia said if we could find out from her eye doctor the meds he prescribed, she would ask the hospital doctor to prescribe them for her. And because of Euphemia's help, her eye began to improve.
Euphemia was also able to find out when the EGD was going to be scheduled so we could leave to tend to other family matters, rather than continuing to wait unnecessarily.
She was even helpful in getting dinner for us when the cafeteria closed earlier than scheduled.
There were so many ways Euphemia showed what a special person she is and an outstanding nurse. Euphemia was an answer to our prayers. She was our angel. We were so thankful she went the extra mile for our mom in every situation.
We have never experienced a nurse who gave such extraordinary care. She was so good to explain everything to us so we could fully understand everything. We are so grateful that she was so persistent in getting things done.
We believe Euphemia is an extraordinary nurse who needs to be recognized. Give that special nurse some cinnamon rolls! Thank you!

She was smiling the whole time she was in my room and explained everything that was going on with me to keep my spirits up. Very nice and knowledgeable about my condition. Wonderful nurse.
