My wife was admitted through the ER and was later moved to a patient room. We found ourselves thrown into several procedures over the next couple of days. We felt that on Tuesday evening, when Ethel walked into the room, God had blessed us with a very compassionate and caring nurse.

After a procedure that resulted in a complication, my wife remained in extreme pain all day long. Ethel came in at 7 p.m. and immediately placed a NG tube in my wife. After inserting the tube, she called for an x-ray to make sure the tube was in the correct place. When radiology looked at the x-ray, they noticed a problem. Immediately they called in a surgical team, and my wife was in surgery before 10 p.m.

During our preparation for surgery, Ethel was rock solid in her actions and continued to assure us that the surgery team was going to take care of the problem. In a continuing blessing, it just so happened that Ethel was working the next night, and we got her again. God bless this woman. Mission should feel blessed to have her on the staff.
