I am writing to thank you and praise you for having such a dedicated, competent, and professional registered nurse on your staff. Emily Jackson was my nurse for two of the days I was a patient in the CVICU. On the first day, myself, and my family were impressed with her calm, business-like manner of caring for and interacting with us. We felt we were in the hands of a very knowledgeable and professional nurse. But on the second day of being in her care, we found she was truly exceptional. I had been cleared for discharge but the doctor decided I needed more tests before he would actually let me leave. Ms. Jackson went to work! She talked with the physician and with his approval she coordinated, in her non-threatening, skilled, consistent manner to arrange to have my tests completed, read, the reports written, and reported to the discharging doctor all within a few hours.
My family and I feel Ms. Jackson did so much more than was called for in the situation. We also found she is very respected as a nurse by the department staff that completed my tests and due to her being so easy to work with she accomplished what we consider to be a miracle. I truly mean it when I say thank you for providing such superior, quality care as given by Ms. Jackson.
