The kindness from the first time meeting Emily put me in great comfort. Her kind and caring personality helped from when I first met her. I was emotional from my brother's suicide 5 days before. I had to have a CAT scan with contrast to find out what was wrong with me but I was allergic to the IV contrast. They premedicated me so I wouldn't have a bad reaction to the contrast die as soon as it was administered. I could feel that the premedications did not work. I started feeling like I was catching on fire and heart was extremely fast. I felt like I was dying. There were several people in the CT room because the rapid response team was called. I guess Emily heard the call for the rapid response team and she knew that it had to be me. Emily came down to where I was and I was going in and out of consciousness. I kept praying for God not to take me now because we just lost my brother. Then I heard Emily's voice. She said I'm here and immediately she started putting wet cold rags on my head and back. When I heard her say I'm here, I knew I was instantly starting to feel relief due to hearing her voice, knowing Emily was there and talking to me in all that chaos, I felt she was my angel. Please acknowledge her as the true angel she is. I will always feel that Emily was my angel. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
