Emily Cantor provided me with excellent nursing care. I was a patient overnight on the 4th floor Medical-Surgical unit and throughout the next day. She was my nurse on my 2nd day at Reston Hospital Center. She demonstrated extraordinary empathy and thorough clinical knowledge as she worked to bring my pain under control. She listened to my concerns and made very practical suggestions which helped me regain my strength and confidence.
Emily has great listening and observational skills, noticing when no one else did, that I had a potential neurological symptom. She never appeared to be rushed, although I know she had a full patient caseload. She was also unusually responsive to my needs, including helping to resolve issues around some non-working equipment in my room.
As a registered nurse myself, I quickly recognized that she was an outstanding medical care provider and undaunted patient advocate. Thank you.
