Jane's nursing skills not only help provide quality care for our children, but also benefit the individuals working with her. Her experience in the field creates teaching opportunities for parents that increase quality care at home and give parents confidence in caring for the medical needs of their child. Her ability to stay calm in challenging situations is reassuring to the support staff and decreases the amount of uncertainty in the environment. Jane has dedicated her life to working with individuals with special needs and has a true passion for providing the best care possible.

Jane has been a devoted employee for many years. First encountered her caring compassion 15 years ago as she helped care for my niece. Her dedication to CRCC, the kids and families is unbelievable and she should be recognized!

...

Jane is always there when I volunteer at the CRCC quarterly birthday parties. She lends a helping hand consistently with the kids and us at this "active" program.

...

Jane has worked full-time at CRCC for 16 years and will be the first to tell you that she loves coming to work every day. She has always found joy in helping others and thoroughly enjoys being a caregiver. Her experience with individuals with special needs and 35 years of nursing has uniquely prepared her to be very well versed in the nursing care needs of our population. Her special bond with our clients and their families gives proof of that fact.

Jane's Mother and Grandmother were both Nurses and she decided to follow in their footsteps at an early age. Her Grandmother, Mary Allen, owned and operated the first Blair Hospital. Her Mother, Sharon Allen has a lifelong commitment to nursing and is still a working Nurse! This background has set a foundation for Jane's life of service. She is giving in many areas of her life.

Jane's personal concern for people led her and her late husband to become parents to a client with special needs who was in need of a home. He now has the love and security that he had never known. Even in this tough past year for Jane, she will be the first to tell you that she was put on this earth to serve. And loving and serving people, is what she does!

We are very proud to have Elizabeth Jane Wycoff as our first Annual DAISY Award Honoree!
