Our family would like to thank Liz for going above and beyond for our daughter J. She was diagnosed with 2 types of cancer in July. Cancer is a traumatic experience for an entire family. Liz has gone above her job description to make J's long hospital stays as tolerable as possible. Liz has also been a great advocate on J's behalf pertaining to her treatment plan. Liz was the first friendly face we met on our first admission for chemotherapy. J had an extremely terrifying experience and Liz stayed much later than her shift to help J adjust. On another hospital stay, Liz stayed and helped comfort J during an allergic reaction she had to a medication she was given. Liz is caring and determined to help her patients to the best of her ability and wears a smile all day while doing her job. Liz is great at explaining J's treatment plan and terms that a 13-year-old can understand so that she can take part in her care and understand to the best of her ability what is happening or going to happen. Liz is full of empathy and compassion for her patients and their families, she walks into a room with a happy face and bubbly personality. She is wonderful in making my daughter feel at ease during this awful time in her life. J refers to Liz as one of her "peeps". It is usually very hard for J to open up to any person especially medical related individuals, Liz changed J's opinion of medical personnel. We are very thankful and appreciative of all the time, care and effort Liz has put forth to our daughter's care during this traumatic journey.
