When my mother was really sick and spent some time in the ED, Betsy went out of her way to make sure my mom and I were doing okay, she frequently checked in with us and was always prepared to answer any questions we may have had. Unfortunately, my mom succumbed to her illness. When Betsy heard this, she went out of her way to ask if I was okay and gave me a hug when she saw me at work. From a patients' loved ones' perspective, that meant so much to me knowing that she cares that much to reach out to me and express her condolences and give me a hug.
Additionally, when I see Betsy talking to patients and/or patients' loved ones, she is always so caring and professional, she always goes out of her way to make sure everyone is happy and makes sure patients and patients' families know they're getting the best care. I could not have asked for a better nurse to be there during that extremely difficult time, she completed exceeded my expectations, the level of care my mom received from Betsy was outstanding.
