I first saw Dori as she was assigned duty in the ICU area of the hospital, when she was assigned to take care of my lady friend, among the other patients she cared for in that area. I was immediately impressed by her professional appearance and friendly attitude toward her patients, my friend included. I watched as she checked every instrument with care, making sure everything was in the right place in addition to checking the patients to make sure they were well-tended, comfortable, and always asked if there was anything else she could do before leaving. When my friend was moved out of ICU, Dori was again assigned as her nurse. Her personal appearance was perfect as was her personal grooming. She always left a patient by saying to call her if anything else was needed, and then always said "thank you" before leaving the room. I was impressed with all of the nurses and their care of patients assigned to them, as well as their hard work and dedication, but this nurse seemed to stand out among all of them as a very Extraordinary Nurse.

My 81-year-old mother has been in and out of the hospital after suffering a stroke. She was admitted to the hospital for a second time on with blood pressure spiking over 200. She was in ICU, then the floor, and was blessed to have had Dori as her nurse!! Mom underwent surgery on her carotid artery that was blocked. Dori was there every step of the way! I can't tell you what a blessing and ray of sunshine she delivered daily! She even stopped in to check on mom when it wasn't her shift! We've had several nurses on several occasions care for mom but none that went above and beyond as Dori did! She is absolutely amazing!
