Donna puts her patient's first, is supportive of co-workers, and always has a smile on her face. She uses humor to ease difficult situations (helping everyone) and is also a tenacious advocate for her patients.
Donna helped both a mother and daughter who were admitted together. The mother needed help filling out paperwork before she was discharged because she was not able to do it herself. Donna sat with the patient and assisted her with the required documents needed for medical coverage. She saw beyond the situation and was able to help the mother in need. This situation started as a patent/nurse interaction, but because of Donna's compassion, turned into "one mom helping another in need".
