Nurse Dok-Oy Samong has been working at Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital for many years. Her specialty is gynecological care, prompting her to be selected by her supervisor to tend for patients in the gynecological and obstetric inpatient department. Throughout her years of working in this department, she has been a role model for many nurses for both her clinical skills and amazing personality.
Nurse Dok-Oy has received many praises from her patients and their family members. One patient stated "I am very impressed with Nurse Dok-Oy. She was always willing to provide much-needed information when I was worried about my wife. Nurse Dok-Oy was always supportive to both my wife and me. To me, she puts on two hats at the same time, one as a nurse and one as a teacher. She would always teach us many things to lessen our worries. Whether they be about the illness, treatment plan, or any other thing. I can be easily worried and when my wife got sick, it was like the whole world was collapsing before me. Nurse Dok-Oy was kind, patient and willing to help me build the world piece by piece. Her kind and warm words not only helped to raise my wife's spirit up but also mine. There are many things to be thankful for every day. Nurse Dok-Oy is one person we are so thankful for. For us, Nurse Dok-Oy is by far the definition of the phrase angel walking among us."

She has helped the organization develop new innovations and technology to help improve patient care. She has cared for postpartum patients with all her heart and soul, assisting many patients through hardship and complications during their hospital stay. She is considered a role model for all other nurses in her department. Her positive attitude always raises the spirits of everyone faced with a challenge.
