Diana Crook is a supervisor who always calms the atmosphere by how she responds to stress. She is so respectful to all co-workers, no matter who they are or how they treat her. On a number of occasions I have been caring for patients who require lots of time because of dementia and she comes into the room to assist. I always enjoy how loving and kind she is toward the patients. Diana sat with one of my patients who was trying to get out of bed. She talked to him and got him calm and had him smiling. Diana always encourages her co-workers by being empathetic, listening to us, and cheering us on when we have something to celebrate. She has a beautiful heart.

Diana also spearheaded a project to develop a scrap book for the staff at the University of Arizona Medical Center, Tucson where the victims of the shooting were transported for care, including Gabby Gifford. She did this to show them that staff here at Pella Regional were thinking of them and wanted to show support. This project included all departments at PRHC. Staff at the University of Arizona Medical Center were so touched by this gesture that they decided to develop a scrap book of their own, thanking Pella Regional for our support. The story of the scrapbooks made the Des Moines Register. An almost full page article was written about the hospitals and the scrapbooks.
