My manager has shown exemplary leadership and role modeling. She has made so many changes that have helped improve our team on Street 2 and patient outcomes. She takes the time to check in on her team and "stay in the know" with team members. She's always there to encourage the team not only to be our best but to go above and beyond. I really appreciate my manager and I believe she is a DAISY Nurse Leader.

Since becoming manager of Street 2, Denise has implemented processes that have encouraged more teamwork amongst the staff as well as promoted an environment that is positive and nurturing. This impact has caused an increase in patient satisfaction as well as raised the morale amongst team members. As a fellow Street 2 employee, I am glad to be working under the tutelage of Denise.

Denise has been the leader of MSDC for close to 2 years and has done a phenomenal job of elevating the unit through her superb leadership skills. With her skills, the morale of the staff has been boosted which has resulted in a reduction of staff turnover on our unit and an increase in patient and staff satisfaction. Denise is a dynamic leader who just inspires her staff to do better and actualize the BayCare Values. Denise is genuine, understanding, passionate and an effective communicator. MSDC is so blessed to have Denise as a leader.

Ms. Denise is a very caring and compassionate team leader who is always willing to take the time out of her busy day to listen to you if you need to speak with her. When I came to work at the hospital, I was nervous because this was something new to me. I previously worked in the nursing facility for a number of years. When I spoke with her in the interview process she reassured me that things would work out and she and her team would do everything to make the transition as smooth as possible. When I left the interview, I told my mom that I thought I have found another great home and good people to work with. So thank you BayCare for giving me the interview and becoming a part of such a wonderful team on Street 2.

Denise has been hands-on since taking the leadership role as MSDC manager. She has gone above and beyond building trust with staff and patients. She demonstrates professionalism, caring, and provides a safe environment for patients and staff while providing excellent care. She is a great role model and person!

Denise exemplifies a DAISY Nurse Leader. She is the most genuine and caring leader that I have ever had in my whole career here at this hospital. She consistently models extraordinary behavior and challenges the staff to do better and be better. She constantly helps "manage up" any situation that we have. She is enthusiastic and she inspires us daily to uphold BayCare values and do what's best for the patients. She is always available to listen and give input in tough patient situations. She is so loving and she truly makes the floor so much more cohesive, a better team all around. She is not only our "boss" she is the best definition of a "leader". She inspires me daily to be a better nurse and a better human being. Love you, Denise.
