Debbie cared for my husband on the day shift for 3 days. He was in the final stages of Parkinson's Disease and came in with pneumonia and sepsis. He was transferred to Hospice just a few days later. Debbie was very attentive and kind and although very busy she would always pop in to let us know she had not forgotten about us. But what really stuck out was the comment she made virtually every time she saw me; "Your husband loves you so much." I would ask how she knew that, and she would say that his demeanor changed when I was there, he was less agitated and calmer. Her care and those comments changed my experience of the situation and allowed me to transition from frazzled fulltime caregiver to loving wife again. It was such a gift.
