Debby, on more than one occasion, has gone above and beyond to ensure that our patients have the best possible surgical experience at GSH.
Debby had an elderly cataract patient who did not have anyone to drive him home after surgery. This patient's surgery had already been canceled once because of this.
This time, Debby was determined to make sure this patient would have his surgery and he would not be canceled again. Debby made multiple phone calls trying to find area agencies that provide a service like this. Debby even volunteered to drive the patient home herself, but for liability reasons, it was not advised.
Through much research, Debby found an agency called Synergy. This agency provided a caregiver to drive this patient home after his surgery and stay with him. Thanks to Debby, this man was able to have his cataract surgery.
