While in the hospital at Methodist South Hospital, our family member was faced with a heart breaking situation. My brother had to make a life changing decision. This was a life or death situation. The situation included him assessing the fact that he could have his right leg amputated just below the knee in order to live or living with it and the leg eventually causing an infection which would ultimately lead to his death. He was very distraught, angry, confused, and devastated. As his family we did not know how to reach out to him. We all felt helpless as he sat contemplating on what the ending resolution would be, but little did we know the Lord already had a plan in motion.
We were sent a watchful eye and a doctor barrier breaker. This is the day that we encountered Mrs. Debbie Pigram. She was the RN in care of my brother. We feel as though Mrs. Pigram has a passion for her job and a great concern for her patients. She explained to my brother the things that he needed to know and most importantly the things that he didn’t understand.
Mrs. Pigram is a very polite, caring, and professional person. We seriously believe that all of her attributes helped him to make this altering decision. On behalf of my family, we would like to thank her for being there for us at such a needed time. We would like to mention to the administrative faculty what a special person you have on your team. Words cannot express the gratitude that is in our hearts for having Mrs. Debbie Pigram being at the right place at the right time.
