My husband was brought into the ED by ambulance. The nurse assigned was busy and so David told us he was filling in. I've been in the ED several times over the years but I have never seen a nurse as efficient while maintaining compassion and connection to the family at the same time. He's what I call a nurse and a half. He even came by later and told me he would be up to the room to see my husband when he had a break. Sure enough, he came upstairs in the middle of the night just to make sure I was ok. I'll never forget him, unfortunately, my husband had a brain bleed and passed away a week later. Thank you to David for treating me with compassion and kindness.
