Daneane deserves recognition! She is a nurse home visitor for Nurse-Family Partnership, an evidence-based home visitation model that focuses on positive client and child outcomes. She is an awesome nurse! She goes beyond what is expected. One of her high-risk clients had delivered sooner than expected and was going to be discharged, but the client did not have a car seat for the newborn. It was a terrible, snowy day, but Daneane drove to the office, picked up a stroller/car seat, assembled it, and drove to the hospital to deliver it.
Daneane also shows great collaboration with not just her clients, but with family and community partners. Another of her clients at risk of not taking her newborn home with her because of her mental illness diagnosis. Daneane collaborated with the hospital SW, DCP&P and client's family to set up a plan that worked for the baby's best interest. The client was able to take her baby home with family being available to support these new parents. Daneane shines as a compassionate and passionate nurse as she takes the time to teach clients about their health and explores clients' hearts' desires and their goals, supporting them to empower themselves to achieve their goals.
