The first time Cyndi cared for my dad was by chance, the second by request, and the third was just answered prayer. My dad has been described as a fragile patient at best. The second time in the hospital was our first time with Cyndi. This was when we were introduced to our Petite Angel Warrior. She understood we came to her with issues associated with every single one of his health challenges. We were so impressed with how quickly she obtained a complete understanding of all his medical conditions and immediate challenges. Once she was satisfied that my dad was stable, she immediately sought to make us both more comfortable by having us moved to a room where a cot could be brought in for me. This sounds like an insignificant action, but the relief it brought my father to know I was taken care of while he was being taken care of helped him focus on his own healing. She facilitated, coordinated, and administered all treatments necessary to address each and every challenge his ever-changing condition presented. I wish all could have seen how empowered and encouraged he became when she requested a simple device from respiratory that aided tremendously with his symptoms. She educated both of us on its function and the needs it addresses, so we now know another way to ensure the best treatment possible for him if necessary. Each of the other two times we were blessed with Cyndi as my father's nurse, and she always treated him with the utmost care and compassion. Call lights could be going off everywhere at all times of the day and night, and Cyndi always made my father feel like he was her only patient. When many would just see him through his age only, she always saw the man who has lived a full life but still has life to live. For Cyndi, we are always grateful.
