I am extremely grateful for all the nurses who cared for me, most particularly to Nurse Criselda. She showed a high standard of care and compassion. Being a doctor, I know how challenging it is to work in a healthcare setting. After my surgery, I had multiple tubes (drains) and catheters inserted in my body. I needed to have fluids and medications to control my pain.
Criselda was one of the nurses who regularly checked my status and monitored the drains and tube placements. She was on time in giving medications and changing the IV fluids. I didn't even need to use the call bell because she anticipated all the things I might need. She is smart, organized and neat.
One thing that strikes me most is her caring attitude, she goes above and beyond by asking how I was feeling, not only with the pain but also my emotional status. She didn't mind I was a doctor, she still taught me the importance of ambulating early, eating a well-balanced diet and drinking lots of fluids. I could not ask for more than her competent and caring attitude. I would like to extend my thanks to her by recognizing her for all she does.
