We would like to nominate Craig Rowe for the DAISY Award. He has only been here a year, but has been one of our most loved nurses. He works the nightshift. He is very compassionate, and it is easy to see that he is committed to being a nurse and the patients he cares for. Craig never complains, is easy to work with because he does his share and then volunteers to pitch in and help you if you need it. The PCAs who work with him have only wonderful things to say about being with him. He is known for a smile and a kind word to everyone.
Here are a few comments:

Discharge phone calls: Craig - the perfect RN, knew everything, quick. “Great personality.”
When asked if the patient wanted to acknowledge any person who cared for them, Craig was mentioned several times.

We received a yellow card from one patient which stated: “Just a line to let you know of an exemplary RN who is employed by Good Samaritan Hospital. Craig is the person of whom I refer. He goes beyond his parameters to insure the patient a little more than is required. Give him a pat on the back. He deserves it.”
Three days later, the same patient upon the day of discharge wrote again: “I sent a note on behalf of Craig asking for a little bit of good recognition for a job above and beyond. Please be sure that he receives something. Your hospital needs more like him. Thank you.”

We do need more people like Craig in this world.
