We had admitted a patient we all knew well, she has cystic fibrosis. The patient had planned to go to Dallas to shop for a prom dress with an aunt who had promised to buy it for her, but now was unable to go due to her hospitalization. The aunt was not able to come to Springfield and the patient's family did not have the funds to purchase a dress for her. Corrine went on her own time to shop for and purchase three separate dresses; she brought all three to the hospital so the patient could try them all on and choose the one that she wanted to wear for her upcoming prom.

This was definitely above and beyond compassionate care for this patient and her family.
