Connie was such an attentive and caring nurse. She always made herself available to address my concerns and deliver treatment, and it was always done with a smile and an encouraging comment or joke. Any day when I saw Connie's name on the whiteboard for my nurse I knew it was going to be a good day. Connie seemed to know exactly when she was needed and was always offering assistance before I even had to call for a nurse. I spent 18 days in JCMC and Connie was the nurse that I had far more than any other nurses. Connie is truly made for being a nurse. She is the kindest soul and so considerate and somehow was able to predict and anticipate my needs and address them. Connie was so intuitive about this and it was so impressive, especially since I spent half of my stay immediately recovering from 3 leg surgeries and on painkillers and I was unable to move my lower half.
Above and beyond is the perfect phrases to describe Connie. She definitely did everything in her power to ensure that I received the best care and treatment while at JCMC and that I felt comfortable and able to get my discharge from JCMC and anything the future may bring related to my recovery.
I don't think I saw Connie once without a smile. Every time she entered my room, she was delightful and pleasant, and I wasn't the only one who noticed. Every time I had a visitor in the room and Connie was the nurse she engaged my visitors and family to the point where my loved ones would ask if Connie was my nurse on that day. I remember one particular day when I was feeling a bit down and unmotivated and Connie noticed. She spent the rest of the day cheering me up and helping to get me back to feeling positive. Knowing that Connie had an entire floor full of patients to address, it is incredible to imagine how she has the capacity to handle each and every one of her patients with the loving care and attention I know she delivers. I consider myself lucky that I was able to have Connie as my nurse as much as I did. While I hope I never need to be hospitalized again, I would be lucky to wind up back at JCMC and with Connie as my nurse.
