I am a family member of a past patient. My mother was hospitalized in March on 6 West. She went beyond her call of duty. She helped my family out a lot. My mom was very stubborn but Colleen got her to do things she refused. We were playing some of my mom's favorite music and Colleen came into the room and my mom asked her to dance. She did! She made my mother very happy and comfortable. Instead of my mom going to rehab that day, she went home. I was supposed to send this in and I forgot to take her whole name the day my mom got discharged. But then my dad was hospitalized in April 2019. I happened to run into Colleen then, she wasn't my dad's nurse but I was able to get her full name. Upon going through some papers recently I found The DAISY Award Form. I still had her name written on it but never mailed it in! So now I am emailing it. One year and 5 months later lol. My mom passed away in October of 2018. I'd like to tell Colleen Webb from my family "She has a beautiful spirit and soul". We need more nurses like her!
