I was supposed to start chemo after waiting 6 months for a diagnosis. Unfortunately, my oncologist was out of town and didn't know he was to sign the chemo orders. The oncologist on call didn't know he was supposed to sign these orders either. Christy spent a lot of time calling the oncologist's office to get the paperwork. At 5 PM I was getting very discouraged and at 6:27 PM, Christy walked in with the chemo and a BIG smile! She is the best. She turned a bad day for me into a great day!

I was fortunate enough (lucky enough) to be greeted by Christy first. She was my initial nurse for the first three days. During that time, she made every attempt to ensure that my family was comfortable at the same time providing me with professional care with a sense of true compassion. She also was my nurse just prior to release. Christy honestly made my hospital stay for a serious medical condition much less stressful. All of my family members continuously complimented her for her honesty, professionalism, and compassionate care giving. In my opinion she is the essence of what a true medical professional should be.
