I had my right ovary removed, as well as a polyp in my uterus. I did not take well to the anesthesia. My husband tells me, after the surgery, we were moved to PAC-U, Station 9. I had several bouts of vomiting and my oxygen level kept falling below the 90% level whenever I dozed off. Nurse Christine Drlik stayed with us the entire day! I don't even know if she ever went to lunch. She was amazing. Whenever I dozed off and my oxygen level would drop, she ensured I would sit up straight and take deep breaths until my oxygen level would go back up. I don't know what time her shift was over but she was still with me and my husband until 4:30 pm! Due to my oxygen level not being where it should be before being released, I had to stay overnight at MidState Hospital. Again, Nurse Christine made sure all of my arrangements were properly administered. She stayed until the very end until someone came to get me and transfer me to a bed upstairs. I can't say enough about Nurse Christine. She was wonderful, professional, pleasant, passionate, and displayed so much how she cares about her patients. She always followed back up with the doctor to inform him of my progress (or lack thereof) throughout the day. We want to thank her so much for the outstanding care and support given me (and my husband) throughout this ordeal.
