Chelsey Ellsworth brings strong assets to her role as a nursing supervisor to the Cardiology/3rd Floor team and our organization. We are incredibly fortunate to have her.
Chelsey is dedicated and hardworking. She is extremely organized and focused on continuous learning and developing best practices to manage routine activities both efficiently and effectively. She brings positive high energy and personal touch. For instance, our initiatives with CABG patients. She went through the CABG Passport with the primary nurse to ensure ambulation, bath, dressing assessment, out of bed to chair and education on sternal precaution are completed and documented. Another example is her ability to lead MDR effectively. She makes sure that barriers for discharged (for example echo results, DMEs) are communicated with the team so that the patient can safely be discharged by 2 pm. She also makes sure that the nurses can speak to the central lines and foleys and the need for them to prevent infection.
She brings true professionalism attributes to Ascension Seton and genuinely cares about delivering excellent quality patient care. She strives to integrate both an understanding and goals such as productivity even if it means working short staff and she has to send a clerk home so that we can meet productivity. Furthermore, the importance of all the staff to be compliant with our CABG Passport.
She always goes above and beyond the call of duty every day. She deserves to be recognized for her work over the past years. She is the "go to" person for everything regarding patient care, staff and physicians. Her knowledge and critical thinking have exceeded my expectations and I am confident in her decisionsregarding patient care, safety, and outcome.
Although she makes her role look effortless, she puts everyone's needs before her own. She is well respected by all her peers including the physicians and other departments. She has tackled every challenge that came her way and has helped everyone around her do the same.
Thank you for all you do. I don't have enough words to express my gratitude. You are amazing!
